His Best is a compilation album by Little Walter, which was published in 1997 as part of the Chess 50th Anniversary Collection on MCA / Chess.

General

As a member of Muddy Waters band and as a solo artist was Walter Littele the architects of the Chicago blues. So he was the first harmonica player to his harmonica electrically amplified and thus created a new sound. The album brings a cross section of his work and includes his most famous songs ( Juke ), slow numbers ( Mean Old World) and rocking tracks ( Boom, Boom Out Goes the Light). As with all titles in the Chess 50th Anniversary Collection album is well put together, brings for each career section suitable examples is technically processed and in a nice package. The album replaces the previous best compilation "The Best of Little Walter ", which was published in 1988. From it also ten of the twelve tracks were taken (except Blue Light and You Better Watch Yourself).
