Rambergsvallen is the fourth largest island in Sweden and belongs to the West Swedish port city of Gothenburg.

The island Rambergsvallen is 199 square kilometers in size. It is bounded to the east and south by the river Göta älv, north through the side arm Nordre älv, westward through the Kattegat.

On Rambergsvallen is the area of ​​Torslanda where, until 1977, the international airport of Gothenburg was before it was moved to Landvetter. In Torslanda are since 1964 the manufacturing plant for Volvo cars. In addition, the work for Volvo trucks and Gothenburg City Airport are located in the district of Tuve on Rambergsvallen in the district Säve.

In the district of Lundby are the parent company of Volvo, in the 1927, the first Volvo cars was produced, and the mountain Ramberget, which offers a beautiful view of the harbor of Gothenburg with its height of 87 meters. On Rambergsvallen are the largest part of the Gothenburg harbor as well as some oil refinery operations.

Until the 1970s, the island was the site of several major shipyards, of which today but only one operation, Götaverken Cityvarvet exists. In the former industrial areas occur along the river Göta älv new districts, including the district Lindholmen a technology center and university location.
