History (Canada)

History Television is a Canadian English-language television stations documentation headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. The station is dedicated to focus on historical time issues. The documentation includes scientific topics, military history and art. The station is operated by Shaw Media. In addition to the English-language channel, a parallel transmitter is operated in French with the name Historia. The transmitter sends a time lag between East ( East Time ) and West (Pacific Time). The transmitter of the Canada supplies western coast district, went on 1 September 2006 on air.

History

The transmitter has been registered by the Canadian Radio - Television and Telecommunications Commission ( CRTC ) on 4 September 1996 as The History and Entertainment Network. The operator of the station was Alliance Atlantis. He began to broadcast as History Television on 17 October 1997. On January 18, 2001, through a joint venture between Canwest and Goldman Sachs Capital (known as CW Media ) acquired Alliance Atlantis. Thus, the station belonged to CW Media.

On 27 October 2010 there was a further acquisition of the sender by Shaw Media. Shaw Media took over Canwest and the shares of Goldman Sachs Capital.

Receptivity
