Hitoshi Iwaaki

Hitoshi Iwaaki (Japanese岩 明 均, Iwaaki Hitoshi, born July 28, 1960) is a Japanese manga artist. He is known for his his and horror manga.

His debut as a manga artist he made in 1985 with Gomi no Umi. A great success succeeded in 1990 with Kiseijū a parasite invasion of Earth. In the manga, he received the 1993 Kodansha Manga Award 17 and 1996 27 Seiun Award, a prize for outstanding science fiction works. Currently Iwaaki working on the historical series history, which was nominated in 2005 for the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize - and in 2012 received the Grand Manga Award this award.

Osamu Tezuka has influenced him.
