Hivange

Hivingen ( Lux: Héiweng; French: Hivange ) is a district of the municipality of Luxembourg Garnich.

Geography

Hivingen is located about two kilometers south-east of the main town at the intersection of local streets CR at an altitude of about 350 m 106, and C. R. 101 are located in the immediate vicinity, the towns Bare (3 km to the north), Dahlem (1 km to the southeast ) and Fingig (1,5 km to the west).

History

End of the 18th century, the city had 10 houses and belonged to the parish in Garnich.Die Chapel of the place formerly occupied by a chaplain, was built in 1833.
