Hiwwe as Driwwe (Eng. " On all sides " ) is the only completely written in the pennsylvania - German dialect newspaper.

Description

Editorial goal of the newspaper is on the one hand, to link the different socio- religious groups in Pennsylvania and other states in the U.S. and Canada with one another, and on the other hand, the descendants of the Palatine emigrants of the 18th century in North America with the descendants of the time in the Palatinate and neighboring regions who remained to connect. The basis for this is the common language. " Hiwwe as Driwwe " appears twice a year since 1997 in an edition of 2,000 copies and is read in the U.S., Canada and Germany. 90 % of support be sent to the USA, 2% to Canada. 8 % of the circulation remain in Germany. Overall, a copy of " Hiwwe as Driwwe " has up to 5,000 readers. Since 1997, more than 100 contemporary pennsylvaniadeutsche authors have published in the newspaper. The publisher is the private archive pennsylvaniadeutscher literature in Ober-Olm, editors, Michael Werner.
