History

Bischofswarth was first mentioned in the Liechtenstein - land register of the year 1414. The name referred to a higher point in the terrain, the Wartberg. In 1570 it was mentioned as newly created village. This was probably the successor to the desolate village in the 15th century Allach ( Alosch ) and King Brunn, which lay north of Feldberg. The new immigrants were mostly Croats who were assimilated over the centuries of Slovenian immigrants. Bischofswarth belonged until 1919 to Lower Austria, but was ceded to the disintegration of Austria - Hungary by the Treaty of St. Germain to Czechoslovakia. After the Munich Agreement in 1938 it became part of the German Empire. After the end of the Second World War, it fell back to Czechoslovakia.

The parish registers are initially performed at Feldberg since 1615 and are now in the National Archives in Brno.

The site seal is known since the last quarter of the 16th century. It shows a simple baroque shield, in the foot of a heart stands from which sprouts a young tree. From the trees grow three branches, each bearing an apple blossom. The tree is topped with a plow iron, which stands for agriculture.
