HMS Asia

Four ships of the Royal Navy bore the name HMS Asia, named after the continent of Asia (English Asia):

  • The first HMS Asia was acquired in 1694 as hull and scrapped in 1701.
  • The second HMS Asia was launched in 1764 spilled 3rd class ship in 1764, which was canceled in 1804.
  • The third HMS Asia was a 3rd class 74-gun ship, which launched in 1811. 1819 renamed HMS Alfred and 1828 reduced to 50 guns in 1865 the ship was canceled.
  • The fourth HMS Asia was a 2nd class ship with 84 guns, which was launched in 1824. Since 1858 used as a guard ship and sold in 1908.
