HMS Audacious

HMS Audacious was the name of several ships of the Royal Navy:

  • HMS Audacious ( 1785 ) - a 74- gun ship 3rd rank. In service from 1785 to 1815. Fought in the Battle of the Nile
  • HMS Audacious (1869 ) - a central battery ironclad of the first Audacious class. 1902 converted to a depot ship and renamed Fisgard. demolition in 1927
  • HMS Audacious (1912 ) - a battleship of the first King George V class. 1914 sunk by a mine.
  • HMS Audacious ( R05 ) - an aircraft carrier of the second Audacious class ( also called Eagle - class ). Renamed before putting in HMS Eagle ( R05 ).
  • HMS Audacious ( S122) - a submarine in the Astute class.
