HMS Decoy

Four ships of the Royal Navy have been christened HMS Decoy, named after the English word for decoy:

  • HMS Decoy (1871 ), a gunboat, which was built in 1871 and sold in 1885.
  • HMS Decoy (1894 ) was a torpedo boat destroyers of the Daring class, which was launched in 1894 and 1904 fell in a collision before the Isles of Scilly.
  • HMS Decoy ( H75 ), a 1932 -built destroyer of the D- class, which was issued in 1943 to Canada, renamed HMCS Kootenay and finally scrapped in 1946.
  • HMS Decoy ( D106 ) was a destroyer of the Daring class of the stack ran in 1949, sold in 1970 to the Peruvian Navy as BAP Ferré and was decommissioned in 2007.
