HMS Diadem

Five ships of the British Royal Navy have been named HMS Diadem.

  • HMS Diadem ( 1782 ), a ship of the line third class with 64 guns, which was launched in 1782. It was in 1798 converted into a troopship and 1832 scrapped.
  • HMS Diadem (1801 ), a sloop with 14 guns, which was purchased in 1801, renamed in 1802 in HMS Falcon and was sold in 1816.
  • HMS Diadem (1856 ), a wooden frigate with screw drive, which was launched in 1856 was sold in 1875.
  • HMS Diadem (1896 ), an armored deck cruiser Diadem class, which was launched in 1896 and was sold in 1921.
  • HMS Diadem (84 ) was a light cruiser of the Dido - class, launched in 1942. It was in 1956 sold to the Pakistan Navy, renamed Babur and Jahangir in 1982 in 1957. In 1985 she has been permanently withdrawn from service.
