HMS Dublin

Four ships in the service of the British Royal Navy have been named HMS Dublin to the Irish city of Dublin:

  • The first HMS Dublin was a 10 -gun yacht launched in 1707 and was canceled in 1752.
  • Another 10 -gun yacht should be named HMS Dublin. Even before its launch in 1753, the new building in HMS Dorset has been renamed. The ship was sold in 1815.
  • The second HMS Dublin was the class ship of a series of seven 74 -gun ships of the line of the 3rd class. She ran in 1757 from the pile and was canceled in 1784.
  • The third HMS Dublin was a 74 -gun ships of the line of the 3rd class, which ran from stack 1812. 1826, the armament was reduced to 50 guns. 1835 to 1838 and from 1841 to 1845 she was the flagship of the British South America, from 1837 Pacific station. 1845 it was the harbor ship in Plymouth and 1885 was the demolition.
