HMS Forth

Several warships of the Royal Navy have been named HMS Forth after the river River Forth in Scotland

  • HMS Forth (1813 ) was classified as a warship fifth class frigate Endymion class with 40 guns, which was launched in 1813 and scrapped in 1819.
  • HMS Forth ( 1833) was classified as a warship fifth class frigate with 44 guns and 1,792 tons displacement, which ran in 1833 from the stack and later in a mortar ship ( Bombard ) was transformed with the screw drive. 1869 was renamed Jupiter and served as coal depot, 1883, she was scrapped.
  • HMS Forth (1886 ) was a protected cruiser of the Mersey class, launched in 1886, converted to a depot ship in 1904 and was scrapped in 1921.
  • HMS Forth ( A187 ) was a submarine depot ship, which was launched in 1938 and was scrapped in 1985.
