HMS Gorgon
Five ships of the British Royal Navy have been named HMS Gorgon.
- The first HMS Gorgon was a frigate rank fifth and drove in 1791 as a supply ship to New South Wales
- The second HMS Gorgon was a steam frigate, launched in 1837, discontinued in 1864.
- The third HMS Gorgon was a coast guard ship, launched on July 8, 1871, canceled in 1903.
- The fourth HMS Gorgon was a coastal defense ship, originally a Norwegian ship the Bjørgvin class under the name of Nidaros, she came in the First World War for use and in 1928 sold for scrap.
