HMS Jersey

HMS Jersey is the name of several British ships, which are named after the Channel Island of Jersey:

  • HMS Jersey (1654 ), a frigate of the fourth class of 40 guns, which was launched in 1654 and was captured in 1691 by the French.
  • HMS Jersey ( 1694 ), a warship 6th grade, which was launched in 1694.
  • HMS Jersey ( 1698 ), a ship of the 4th class with 50 guns, which was launched in 1698 and was sunk in 1763.
  • HMS Jersey ( 1736), a ship of the 4th class with 60 cannons, which was launched in 1736 and in the American War of Independence as a prison ship was used.
  • HMS Jersey (1776 ), a sloop, which was commissioned in 1776.
  • HMS Jersey (1860 ), a vessel that entered service in 1860.
  • HMS Jersey ( F72 ), a destroyer of the J- Class, which was launched in 1938 and was sunk in 1941.
  • HMS Jersey ( P295 ), a patrol boat of the Iceland -Class, which was launched from the dock in 1976 and sold in 1994 to Bangladesh.
