HMS Queen

HMS Queen is the name of several ships of the British navy.

  • The first HMS Queen was built in 1225, their fate is unknown.
  • The second HMS Queen was built in 1673 as HMS Royal Charles, renamed in 1693, HMS Queen, and in 1715 again renamed HMS Royal George.
  • The third HMS Queen was built in 1769.
  • The fourth HMS Queen was built in 1839.
  • The fifth HMS Queen was a battleship of the Formidable - class, launched in 1902.
  • The sixth HMS Queen, formerly USS St. Andrews, was an escort aircraft carrier, which was built in 1943 and was left in the same year the Royal Navy. It was founded in 1946 returned to the U.S. Navy.
