HMS Saracen

Six ships of the British Royal Navy have been named HMS Saracen ( Saracen engl. ):

  • The first HMS Saracen was a brig - sloop of the Cruizer class with 18 cannons, which launched in 1804 and was scrapped in 1812.
  • The second HMS Saracen, another brig - sloop of the Cruizer class was launched in 1812 and was sold in 1819.
  • The third HMS Saracen was a 10 -gun brig - sloop of the Cherokee class from the stack ran in 1831, used in 1854 as a survey vessel and in 1862 given to the ship, which should lead next the name HMS Saracen, in payment.
  • The fourth HMS Saracen led first the name of Young Queen, in 1862 acquired as surveying brig and sold again in 1870.
  • The fifth HMS Saracen was a destroyer of the Tribal class. The ship was launched in 1908 and in 1919 sold for scrapping.
  • The sixth HMS Saracen was a submarine of the S-Class. It ran in 1942 from the pile and went in 1943 in the Mediterranean lost.
