The HMS track ( P265 ) was a submarine of the Royal Navy in World War II. The submarine was sold to Portugal in 1948 and served the Portuguese Navy named Narval ( S160) until 1969.

History

The track (English: spur ) was a boat of the fourth contract section of the successful S-Class. This is also referred to as a contract section Subtle class. She was laid down on 1 October 1943 Cammell Laird in the North West of England Birkenhead at Kiel, was launched on November 17, 1944 from the pile and was put into service by the Royal Navy on 18 February 1945.

The submarine was used in the final stages of World War II in the Pacific theater. The commander of the boat Lt. P. S. Beale reported for the period between 3 and 23 August 1945, the sinking of 11 junks in the Malacca Straits. The small unarmed sailing ships were sunk with the deck gun or explosives.

The HMS track was sold to Portugal in November 1948. The Portuguese navy they began about 20 years under the name Narval ( S160). The submarine was decommissioned in 1969.
