HMS Turbulent

Several warships of the Royal Navy have been named HMS Turbulent for the English word for stormy:

  • HMS Turbulent (1805 ) was a brig. The ship was launched in 1805 from the stack.
  • HMS Turbulent (1916 ) was a destroyer of the Talisman class. The ship was launched in 1916 and went on 1 June 1916 in the Battle of Jutland lost.
  • HMS Turbulent ( 1919) was a destroyer of the S-Class. The ship was launched in 1919 from the pile and was sold in 1936.
  • HMS Turbulent ( N98 ) was a submarine of the T class. The boat was launched in 1941 and went in 1943 in the Mediterranean lost.
  • HMS Turbulent ( S87 ) is a nuclear submarine of the Trafalgar class. The boat was put in service in 1982.
