HMS Venturer

Five ships of the Royal Navy have been named HMS Venturer:

  • The first HMS Venturer was an armed cutter of 1787, which was applied by the French Navy
  • The second HMS Venturer was a French schooner, which was hijacked in the Caribbean by the British
  • The third HMS Venturer was a submarine of the V- class during the Second World War
  • The fourth HMS Venturer was a minesweeper of 1948
  • The fifth HMS Venturer was a former trawler, which was in 1978 converted to minesweepers. In 1983 the ship was re- converted to trawlers
