Ho (Ghana)

Region

Ho is a city in Ghana with about 60,000 inhabitants and the capital of the Volta Region. There mainly Ewe is spoken.

Ho was born from the conjunction of the two cities Banakoe and Hegbe. It was part of the German colony of Togoland until it was occupied during World War I of the United Kingdom. Then it became the capital of British Togoland until it was combined with the Gold Coast and it was Ghana.
