Geography

Geographical location

The same nucleus of the municipality high village ( 574 m above sea level. NN ) is about 10 km south of Biberach an der Riss on the western slope of the Hochgeländ ( 678 m above sea level. NN ), a plateau just east of the Valley of the crack, which the resort 1 km northwest happened. Northwest of the southern hamlet Unteressendorf extends Rißtal the hamlet of Linden linden ponds ( 549 m above sea level. NN ).

Community structure

The community consists of three high village located near the crack hamlets: high village, pork Hausen and Unteressendorf.

This includes the hamlet located on the Hochgeländ Benz House, Breast Mountain, Mountain, Mountain betting, Hochgeländ and cormorants as well as the surrounding hamlets Appendorf and Linden.

History

Structures

  • Unteressendorf: The Church of St. Martin with a Romanesque facade was in the years 1733/1734 strong Baroque style.

Natural Monuments

  • The betting Berger Ried, a few kilometers east of the core of high local village is located on the Hochgeländ, is a peat bog and forest reserve area that has been designated as a nature reserve.
