The Hochheim ( Main) railway station is a railway station in the Hessian town of Hochheim am Main, south-west of Frankfurt am Main. It is located on the Taunus Railway from Wiesbaden to Frankfurt am Main. In the Hochheim ( Main) Station stop than passenger trains exclusively S-Bahn line 1 of the S- Bahn Rhein -Main.
History
The station was opened on 24 November 1839. It lies on the opened 1839-1840, the oldest railway in the state of Hesse, the Taunus Railway. The station building dates from the founding days of this historically significant railway line and stands out as one of the few surviving testimonies in the Main- Taunus-Kreis under monument protection. It is a simple, rectangular, two-story stucco building with mezzanine. It has a flat, over head carved rafters and braces far overhanging roof.
Infrastructure
At the three-pronged station Hochheim ( Main) trains to the S1 S-Bahn Rhein- Main. He owns a house and an island platform. S -Bahn
The S- trains run from Monday to Friday every half hour on the track Wiesbaden Hauptbahnhof - Mark Roeder - Ober-Roden. In peak times this cycle is extended to a quarter of an hour, each second train in Hochheim begins and ends. Regional and long-distance trains run non-stop through the station.
Bus
At the bus stop Hochheim railway station, the regional bus lines run 48 and 809 Bus line 826 (city traffic Hochheim ) connects the station with the high -heimer downtown, the Heinrich -von- Brentano - school as well as the high -heimer Industrial Park East.
