The high- plate is a 2082 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the Oberammergau Alps. For better distinction with other mountains of this name in the Northern Limestone Alps, he is also called Ammer Hochplatte. Location

The summit is located about seven kilometers east of Fussen in the German state of Bavaria. Neighboring mountains are in the west ( towards Füssen ) and northwest Crow, Gabelschrofen, Gumpenkarspitze and hostage Stone 1884 meters above sea level. Base and tours

  • The easiest way to the high plate leads from the Kenzenhütte 1294 m above sea level. NHN over the Alpe Scheinberg and then through karst terrain on the east side of the summit. Duration of the ascent according to the literature about two and a half hours.
  • A demanding tour ( according to the literature in difficulty UIAA I) leads from the Kenzenhütte out in just over three hours over the Gumpenkar from the west to the summit. In difficult places wire Insurance are available.
