With Alta Pusteria the eastern Situated on the upper reaches of the Drava part of the Pusteria Valley is often referred to. The term is not defined exactly. In South Tyrolean side of the section between the low village in Italy and the border with Austria, including the side valleys to Sesto and Prague is usually expected to Alta Pusteria, in East Tyrol, the further course of Sillian to Lienz.

Tourism

Alta Pusteria is nationally particularly for the Dolomites, especially the rock formation of the Three Peaks, known. The nature park Fanes -Senes- Prague counts as well as the nature park Three Peaks World Heritage Dolomites. As tourist attractions continue to mention are the Fischleintal, the Braies, the high plateau of Prato Piazza, Dobbiaco and San Candido as a cultural center with significant collegiate church.
