HockeyAllsvenskan

Allsvenskan, known since the 2005/ 06 season HockeyAllsvenskan, according to the SHL is the second highest league in Swedish ice hockey. By 2009 the league consisted of 16 participants. Through a participant reduction play since then only 14 teams in the league.

Seasons

2006

Halmstad Hammers played in the HockeyAllsvenskan 2005/ 06, but due to their bankruptcy, the team was expelled from the league. In the Kvalserie 2006 Malmö Redhawks and Skellefteå AIK in the Elitserien rose up, Leksand IF and Södertälje SK were relegated to the Allsvenskan.

And IFK Arboga IK and Hammarby IF had in the relegation round, but could there prevail and thus secure the league. Huddinge IK achieved promotion to the Allsvenskan.

2007

In the Kvalserie 2007 Södertälje SK in the Elitserien and rose to Skellefteå AIK also after qualifying. The Malmö Redhawks, however, increased in the Allsvenskan from and Rögle BK, Leksand IF and IF Björklöven not succeed, the rise in the Elitserien.

Huddinge IK and IFK Arboga IK had to play in the relegation round. However Arboga opted not to participate due to their poor financial situation and got down without a fight. Huddinge could avoid relegation and Borås HC achieved promotion to the Allsvenskan.

2008

In the Kvalserie 2008 Rögle BK rose to the Elitserien and Brynäs IF also after qualifying. Mora IK dismounted in the Allsvenskan and the Malmö Redhawks, Leksand IF and Västerås IK reached the summit not in the Elitserien.

Huddinge IK and Hammarby IF had to play in the relegation round. However Hammarby opted not to participate due to their poor financial situation and got down without a fight. IF Troja / Ljungby and Mariestads BoIS achieved promotion to the Allsvenskan, and Huddinge could avoid relegation, as Nyköpings Hockey was excluded due to a poor financial situation of the league.

2009

In the Kvalserien the two met last player of the Elitserien, the Södertälje SK and Rögle BK, the four best teams in the Allsvenskan. Here, the two -class team prevailed during Leksand IF and AIK Hockey, Västerås IK and Växjö Lakers HC remain in Allsvenskan.

The Mariestads BoIS finished last of the main round of Allsvenskan and rose thus directly in the Division 1 from. The Huddinge IK and Nybro Vikings IF had to play in the relegation round. In this, the Örebro HK prevailed from the Division 1 and rose to the Allsvenskan, while the Huddinge IK and Nybro Vikings IF descended into the third division.
