Hoda Barakat

Hoda Barakat, also Huda Barakat ( born 1952 in Beirut ) is a Lebanese writer who lives in exile in Paris.

Hoda Barakat grew up in a Maronite family. She studied French, married a Muslim and left Lebanon in 1989 with her ​​two sons. In Paris, she began her career as an Arab writer. Her most famous works deal during or after the Lebanese civil war (1975-1990 ).
