Hodorf

Hodorf is a municipality in the district of Steinburg, in Schleswig- Holstein.

Geography and transport

Hodorf is located about 6 km southwest of Itzehoe south of a strong interference loop on the sturgeon. Through the south of the municipality runs the monastery bettors.

History

Hodorf is first mentioned in 1149. The name derives probably from the family thom Ho from that at this point once had its headquarters in the village of Ho. During excavations in the 1930s, plants have been found dating from the 2nd to 4th centuries.
