Hodzana River

It rises in the interior, first flows in an easterly, then in a south-easterly direction and flows about 20 km southwest of Beaver in the Yukon River. The entire course of the River Hodzana up on the first kilometers is located in the Yukon Flats National Wildlife Refuge.

The name of the original inhabitants of the river was published in 1899 in the Edwards track chart of the Yukon as " Hosiana ", which translates as " male beaver " means. The name is also for the Hodzana Slough, an arm of the mouth of the Yukon River Hodzana, application. 1907 recommended to the Dean Hudson Stuck the United States Board on Geographic Names today's spelling because they abbildete pronunciation of the natives better.
