Hoekens linkage

Hoeken the mechanism is a four- membered linkage which converts the rotary movement into a linear movement roughly approximately constant speed. This mechanism is related to the Chebyshev mechanism. The example shown on the right on the image stays on the half of the period of movement into a rectilinear movement.
