The Hoffner Furniture Company GmbH & Co. KG is a retail company in the furniture industry. The company is based in Schönefeld to Berlin.

The company is a full service provider in the field of housing and furnishing. Its core product range includes about 100,000 products. In addition to furniture of different styles offers the company also housewares and home accessories.

History

Today's furniture store Hoffner was originally from a 1874 by Rudolf Höffner founded in Berlin in carpentry. Until the outbreak of the Second World War, the family Hoffner built their company on to Berlin's largest furniture store.

Located in the east of Berlin, the company Hoffner was not continued after the division of Germany. The entrepreneur Kurt Krieger bought 1967 Hoffner name rights and started the company new to the West Berlin Pankstraße. The Krieger family has long-standing family tradition in the furniture industry. Wilhelm Krieger 1910 had also established a cabinet making. On this occasion, Hoffner celebrated the 100th anniversary of entrepreneurial family tradition in 2010.

Immediately after the German reunification began in 1991, the expansion of the company's first in the new federal states. (Now Schönefeld OT Walter village) As part of this expansion, the company headquarters to Walter village was relocated to the outskirts of Berlin. In the years 2002 and 2004, the entrepreneur warrior was active through investments in furniture Walther from Gruendau - Loveless and Furniture force from Bad Segeberg also in southwestern and northern Germany. It was not until the beginning of 2005 was opened with the adoption and change of name of the Fürth francs living the country's first Höffner branch in the old federal states.

Strategy is to allow bigger sales, while also locations such as 2013, partly merged in Magdeburg.

In 2007, Hoffner store in Barsbuettel was prohibited by the district court Lübeck to advertise with discounts if a price was only raised at short notice and was immediately afterwards lowered again. Background was the discovery of a married couple in search of a sofa, that a short time was long advertised a moon price for a couch. Hoffner was the price fluctuations of the manufacturer as the reason, however, could not be detected.

Hoffner has approximately 6,000 employees, distributes its products exclusively through retail stores and has 17 furnishing centers that are supplied from four central warehouses. In the computer-controlled high-bay warehouses 100,000 Furniture containers can be accommodated on more than 600.000 m². Over 1000 orders are provided to supply daily. Germany-wide supply of 500 company-owned trucks.

Training

Hoffner is a recognized training company of the Chamber of Commerce. About 100 young people are trained in a variety of professions each year. These include merchants in retail as well as professionals for the food service, specialists for warehouse logistics, purchase office communications, Specialists in furniture kitchens and moving services, wood mechanics, specialists and advertising merchants. In a special support program trains Höffner junior managers for the sale.
