Hofsee (Federow)

The Hofsee is a lake in Federow, a district of Kargow in the district Mecklenburg Lake District Mecklenburg -Vorpommern, in the municipal area there is also a Hofsee on Kargower train station and as the largest of the three lakes of the same name at the Hofsee bacon.

The lake has a size of 13.9 acres and is located at 65 m above sea level. NHN. The maximum extent of the lake is 590 meters by 410 meters. The only tributary is a trench which opens at the southern tip of the lake. A trench carries the water from the Crooked Lake, which further dewatered to Feisnecksee and Müritz. The banks of reeds Hofsees are covered and both the North and surrounded by forest and at the south end. On the west bank separates a tree and bushes row the lake from agricultural fields, while on the eastern shore lies the manor house of Federow.

Since 2008, the lake can on a 2.5 -mile loop trail that is part of the road network of the adjacent Müritz National Park and on which there is a vantage point for bird watching, are negotiated.
