Hohe Kanzel

Summit stone

The High pulpit is a survey in German Uplands Taunus and has a height of 592 m above sea level. NHN.

The forested mountain is located in the Rhein-Taunus Nature Park in the district of the municipality of Niedernhausen. It is part of the ridge of the Wiesbaden High Taunus.

At its summit, which also once was a lookout tower, a trail is created that reveals the views south to the Rhine valley on Wiesbaden and Mainz. The name of the high pulpit is probably derived from a group of rocks at its head off, which resembles a pulpit.
