The forested mountain is located in the Bavarian district of Miltenberg Forest High warden. The High Wart is not to be confused with the almost same Hohenwarte.

The High Wart is the place of Spuksagen the gray man of the Wild Hunt, the headless horse, the sudden storm, the black dog, the sparrow and image of the invisible woodcutters.
