Hohennagold Castle

The High Nagold Castle is a ruined hill fort in Nagold in the district of Calw in Baden- Württemberg.

Geographical location

The ruin is at 529.8 m above sea level. History

The original first castle Hohen Nagold was built by the Earl of Nagold (since 1145 Count Palatine of Tübingen) in 1100. From 1153 to 1162 the castle was greatly expanded.
