High fire from OT Gopplasgrün, Erlbach
The High fire is on to popular outline with 802.8 meters above sea level. NN is the second highest mountain of the Ore Mountains and is located in the Vogtland in Saxony.
Geographical location and natural space
The High fire rises approximately 5 km west-southwest of Klingenthal between the Czech border and Zwotatal and is completely wooded. Geographically, the mountain does not belong to Elstergebirge as part of the Upper Vogtland, but the southern slopes of the Ore Mountains as part of the Western Ore Mountains.
History and Tourism
On the Hohenbrand is a Triangulationsstein the Royal Saxon State Survey. In case of snow, the 9 km long leads " High - fire - trail " over the hill. This runs between the parking lot " Gopplasgrüner height" on the main road 283 and the district Erlbacher country community. For families, a 5 km long trail is signposted.
