Holden (lunar crater)

Holden is an impact crater in the east of the Moon front, on the eastern edge of the Mare Fecunditatis, immediately south of the crater Vendelinus. The crater is moderately eroded with terracing of the inner rampart, the ground is mostly flat.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the American astronomer Edward Singleton Holden.
