Hollands Kroon

Hollands Kroon is a municipality in the north westfriesländische west of the Netherlands in the province of North Holland, which was created January 1, 2012 from the merger of the municipalities Anna Pavlovna, Niedorp, Wieringen and Wieringermeer. The municipality covers an area of 665 km ². The population was on 1 January 2013 at 47 670.

The community is located at the tip of North Holland.
History
Originally the name Amstelmeer was intended for the fusion community. The name Hollands Kroon was announced as a result of competition with citizen participation on April 27, 2010. On 13 September 2011, the First Chamber of the merger agreed. The new council was elected on 23 November 2011.
