Holly Hunter
Holly Hunter ( born March 20, 1958 in Conyers, Georgia ) is an American actress.
Life
Holly Hunter was born as the youngest of seven children of a farmer's family in Georgia. It began at an early school age with the theater games and was commissioned in 1976 to Pittsburgh, where she took acting lessons. From 1980 to 1982 she lived and worked in New York before moving to Hollywood. Her biggest success came in 1993 with the film The Piano by Jane Campion. For this film, Hunter won an Academy Award in the category Best Actress in 1994. In addition, it has so far been seen in very different roles such as Copycat or the company.
Between 1995 and 2001, Hunter was married to Polish cinematographer Janusz Kaminski. With her partner, British actor Gordon MacDonald, she has twins.
