Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel

The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel is a luxury hotel opened in 1927 to address the 7000 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

Located in the then-popular " Spanish style " was named after the former U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt and financed by a group of investors, which also included Douglas Fairbanks, Mary Pickford and Louis B. Mayer. The opening of the 300 - room hotel was held on 15 May 1927. Here, the first Academy Awards ceremony took place in front of about 280 guests in the Blossom Ballroom 1929.

In 2005 the building was renovated and is now back as an attraction of nightlife in Los Angeles.
