Description

The annual herbaceous plant reaches a height of about 3 to 25 cm. The leaves are bluish - green. In the upper part of the stem, sometimes a whole is more or less densely covered with glandular hairs. The upper leaves are sessile, ovate with long stumpflicher tip and about 1 to 1.5 cm, the lower ones are more or less elongated.

The flowers are arranged doldenartig, repulsed their stems after flowering. Recently, however, they stand up again. The crown is white and often tinged with reddish. The petals are serrated slightly longer than the calyx and fine. It flowers early in March and April.

The chromosome number is 2n = 20

Habitat requirements

The umbels - Spurre grows in fields and dunes, in premolars sand grass, on gravel roofs and dams. It prefers dry summer, more or less nutrient-rich, usually low in calcium, neutral moderately acidic, humus or loose, loamy or pure gravel and sand but also stone floors. Popularization
