Holstein-Itzehoe

Holstein Itzehoe was a county, created by the division of the County of Holstein between Gerhard and Johann von Schauenburg and Holstein in 1261.

Gerhard von Holstein Itzehoe was the only regent. After his death in 1290 Holstein Itzehoe was divided between the sons Gerhards in the three counties of Holstein - Plön, Holstein -looking castle and Holstein - Rendsburg.
