Holt County (Nebraska)

Holt County is a county located in the state of Nebraska in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is O'Neill, named after the founder of the city, General John O'Neill.

Geography

The County is located in northwestern Nebraska, is located in the north about 20 miles from South Dakota and has an area of ​​6262 square kilometers, of which 13 square kilometers are water surface. Holt County was formed in 1876. It was named after the Secretary of War Joseph Holt.
