Holthusen

Holthusen is a municipality in the district of Ludwigsburg pleasure Parchim in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). It is administered by the Office Stralendorf based in the community Stralendorf.

Geography

Holthusen is located about seven kilometers south of the state capital Schwerin.

The municipality consists of the villages of Holt Husen, Lehmkuhlen, station Holthusen and beech wood.

History

The first mention Holthusen goes back to the year 1248. In a map of the county of Schwerin in 1250 the item can be found south of Schwerin. In the Thirty Years' War, the village was largely destroyed. 1868 united the places Buchholz and Holthusen to a community. In the entire history of the four districts were dominated by agriculture.

After 1990, especially the urban exodus of Schwerinern led into the countryside to an increase in the number of inhabitants. Nationwide, the place was known in the 1990s, as the ( now defunct ) plans of the Transrapid link Hamburg-Berlin ROCHE the only intermediate stop for Schwerin in Holthusen.

The name of the hamlet Lehmkuhlen goes back to the clay deposits and its degradation, remains of the clay pit can still be seen today.

  • CDU: 3 seats
  • The Left: 1 seat

Coat of arms

The coat of arms was designed by Horst Schmedemann approved on 29 April 2005 by the Home Office and registered under No. 297 in the coat of arms role of the state Mecklenburg -Vorpommern.

Blazon: " Split; a red Äbtissinnenstab front in gold; golden back in blue three linden leaves with fruits pile wise. "

Flag

The flag of the municipality Holthusen is uniform and transverse to the longitudinal axis of the flag cloth of gold ( yellow ) and blue striped. Each strip is always in the center occupied by a figure of the municipality coat of arms: the golden (yellow ) stripes with a red Äbtissinnenstab, the blue stripe with three golden ( yellow ) Lime leaves with fruits pale example. The characters take each one seven-eighths of the height of the flag cloth. The height of the flag cloth is related to the length as 2:3.

Economy and infrastructure

In the 1990s created two commercial areas, each with about six hectares of land. Plans for a third industrial area have been completed. More than 50 companies have settled out of the trade, transport and waste disposal as well as in the manufacturing sector here.

Transport links

Federal highway 321 runs two kilometers to the west past Holthusen, the motorway can be reached in 24 nine miles above the Hagenow connection.

Thanks to the built- nucleus the railway line Hagenow country -Schwerin runs east leads railroad Ludwigslust -Schwerin over. Both routes come together north of the town Holthusen. Here, in the district Holthusen station, closest train station. Here on 31 December 1992 occurred in the railway accident Holthusen.
