Holubice (Vyškov District)

Holubice ( German Holubitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers north-west of Slavkov and belongs to Okres Vyškov.

Geography

Holubice is located south of the Drahany country at the junction of the Thaya Schwarza valley floor to Wischau goal. The village is located on the right side of the stream Rakovec. South-west rises the Pracký Kopec ( Pratzeberg, 324 m). North of the highway runs Holubice D 1/E50/E462, there is also the exit 210 Holubice. On the eastern outskirts of the village, the railway line is from Brno to Přerov.

Neighboring towns are Pozořice and Kovalovice in the north, Královopolské Vážany, Slavíkovice, Stara Posta and U nádrazí in the northeast, Velešovice in the east, Slavkov in the southeast, Křenovice and Zbysov in the south, Blažovice and Jiříkovice the southwest, Kruh, Bedřichovice, Rohlenka and Maxlůvka in the west and Tvarožná and Sivice in the northwest.

History

Archaeological finds indicate a prehistoric settlement in the area. So the construction of the highway a paleolithic Royal grave and a Lombard burial ground were found from the time of the migration. Previously, a Celtic burial ground had been found with 77 bones graves dating from around 200 BC as early as 1930 on a field in the hallway Dílce.

The first written mention of belonging to the reign of wild mountain village was in 1371, when Půta Šacler Wildenberg Castle Wildenberg with all accessories sold to Margrave Johann Heinrich. This pledged the property shortly thereafter Archleb of Hradek. The village's name derives from the personal name Holub. Subsequent owners were Margrave Jobst of Moravia, from 1392 whose Hofmeister Stosch, Ulrich von Kaunitz on Branitz ( Oldrich Stoś Branic z ), from 1418 onwards, the Rosa Coeli monastery and from 1421 Jakub Liptov. In 1532, William of Víckov had the goods. 1577 acquired Hans Gedeon Kotvrdský of Olešnický Holubice. His successor Gedeon of Olešnický built a water-resistant in Holubice the end of the 16th century. In 1628 sold Georg Adam Falkenhan of Gloschka the goods Holubice and Kruh for 16,000 guilders to Cardinal Franz Seraph von Dietrich stone as guardian of Count Leo Wilhelm von Kaunitz, and smote them to the reign of Austerlitz. As a result of the Thirty Years' War Holubice was deserted and was still in 1718 mostly desolate. 1742 fell Prussian troops entered the village. 1832 broke out cholera.

After the abolition of patrimonial Holubice formed with the district Kruhy 1850 a municipality in the district team Wischau. In the town there were two brickyards ring, two hand brickworks, a limekiln and a gravel pit. It was also operated a water mill on the Rakovec. In addition, in the village there was a windmill, it was canceled in 1918. 1855 destroyed by the great fire parts of the village. In an epizootic disease, died in 1863, most of the livestock. In 1888, the village on the railway line Brno was east - Přerov set up a station. In the same year again burned part of the village down. Between 1903 and 1914, the land of Holubice and Kruh were merged. 1921 Kruh lost its status as a district. In the course of the land reform František Frank acquired in 1923 a part of the large estates and built a wood processing plant. In 1929 the consecration of the church of St. Wenceslas as a branch church of the parish Pozořice. Three years later, the rectory was built in Holubice. Between 1949 and 1960 Holubice was part of Okres Austerlitz and came back to his resolution to Okres Vyškov. 1964 Holubice was incorporated into Velešovice. Since 1990, the municipality Holubice there again.
