Holy Book of the Great Invisible Spirit

The so-called Coptic Gospel of the Egyptians (actually, after his second title, " The Egyptian Gospel " ), or Gospel of the Egyptians Nag Hammadi is an handed down in Coptic apocryphal gospel. It is delivered in two variants within the writings of Nag Hammadi and probably represents the translation of a Greek original dar.

It bears the title as the title proper The holy book of the great invisible Spirit and the sethianischen Gnosis is attributed. Set includes the son of the ( heavenly ) Adam to the light powers. The Coptic Gospel of the Egyptians does not agree with the Greek Gospel of the Egyptians, which is passed down only in a few fragments quotation in Clement of Alexandria and Origen.
