Geography
Timber home is located in the Danube -Iller region in central Bavaria.
There are the following districts: wood home and Neuhausen.
Neighboring communities
The community is surrounded to the north, west and south of the city of Neu -Ulm with their districts and to the east of the village of Pfaffenhof in Roth.
History
Wood home was before 1800 and belonged to the cathedral chapter Pflegamt the Bishopric of Augsburg. Since the Imperial Diet of 1803 the place belonged to Bavaria. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.
Incorporations
On 1 July 1970 the until then independent municipality Neuhausen was incorporated.

Mayor
For Mayor Ursula Brauchle ( CSU / village community ) was elected on 16 September 2012. It is the successor party of their friend Franz Wegele (1946-2013), who held the position since 1998.
Coat of arms
The Coat of Arms description is: Argent, two oblique red bar links, topped with a golden armored and crowned black double-headed eagle.

Catholic parish church of St. Peter and Paul, ( 1519 consecrated ).
Economy and infrastructure
The municipal tax revenue amounted to the equivalent of € 283,000 in 1999, which amounted to the trade tax revenues ( net) converted € 31,000.
Economy, agriculture and forestry
It was in 1998 according to official statistics in the manufacturing sector six, and in trade and transport, no social insurance contributions at the workplace. Social insurance contributions at residence, there were a total of 338 in the manufacturing sector, there were two, four companies in the construction industry. In addition, in 1999, there were eleven farms with an agricultural area of 1,074 ha, of which 853 ha of arable land.
Traffic
Wooden home is situated on the road between Oberpfaffenhofen and Neu-Ulm. There are also links to the neighboring towns of Steinheim and Remmeltshofen and Hirbishofen.
