Homa Bay

Homa Bay is a town of about 33,000 inhabitants on the southern shore of Lake Victoria, in Nyanza province in Kenya. Homa Bay is the capital of the district of the same name and a Roman Catholic bishopric.

30 km from Homa Bay is the entrance to the Ruma National Park.

Climate

The climate in Homa Bay is rather dry, interrupted by two rainy seasons per year. Between March and May falls prolonged rain, from September to November, there are always shorter rainfall. The average rainfall is then up to about 1180 millimeters. The average temperature in Homa Bay is between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius.
