Homberg (Hinterland)

Bagpipe Vorhöhen (actually: Bagpipe Vorhöhen ( with Wollenberg ); natural space number 332.0 ) is the name of a natural area in Hesse. The parent unit is the main Ostsauerländer edge of the mountain (332 ).

The Bagpipe Vorhöhen close as ( fully forested ) transition from the middle mountains to the hill country east of the bagpipe. Strikingly, among others, the 592 m high Arennest or Aarnest ( good 5 km south-east, between the Biedenkopfer districts Engelbach, Dexbach and Katzenbach ) and the 583 m high Kohlberg between Hatzfeld - Eifa and Battenberg Frohnhausen (4 km east- north-east ), the marks the transition into the Hatzfelder Ederbergland.

In the easternmost part of the Vorhöhen, even east of the 460 m high Homberges at Dautphetal - Buchenau, the 474 m high and 13 km south-east of the bagpipe located Wollenberg over the valleys of the Lahn and Wetschaft rises. He is also completely wooded and connected by a narrow forest corridor with the Homberg. His assignment is not entirely clear - Meynen counted him still to Gladenbacher Bergland, which connects to the south and is otherwise separated by the Upper Lahn Valley.

Just east of the encounter Vorhöhen to the Wetschaft Valley, which are the natural area already allocated to the castle forest.
