Homentropic flow

Homentrop is a term used in fluid mechanics and refers to an isentropic flow in which the entropy is homogeneously distributed.

The following two conditions on the entropy per particle must be met:

→ the entropy of a material particle does not change in inviscid flow.

→ entropy is homogeneously distributed.

In other words, the entropy is equal to the room evenly as well as both of the time. Homentrop thus includes even the simplifications friction and no heat conduction.

A further condition for Homentropie is

, The sound velocity is defined in this way

Bernoulli's equation

For a homentrope and incompressible flow, the relationship between pressure and velocity between two points can be calculated using the Bernoulli equation.
